The article considers the possibility of the ramjet combustion chamber cooling by gasifica- tion products of solid fuel in a low-temperature gas generator to combine the ramjet high effi- ciency at high flight speeds with solid fuel application advantages. The presented work pro- poses one-dimensional mathematical model for studying gasification specifics of solid fuel structured charge in the flow of gaseous products of the solid fuel combustion. This model de- scribesthe combustion products flow through the charge, and accounts for heat exchange be- tween the gas flow and the charge surface, kinetics of the solid fuel gasification and the charge shape changing while the gas generator operation. Specifics of solid fuel gasification in the low- temperature generator were revealed, and time dependencies of gasification parameters were obtained for various types of fuels. The article demonstrates that the fuel decomposition and corresponding heat absorbing occur more intensively in the zone near inlet section of the charge, which leads to insignificant changes of integral gasification parameters during pro- longed time interval after the gas generator operation commence. It shows also that tempera- tures of gases flow out of the gas generator can reach the values less than 700°K, which allows their application for combustion chamber cooling of the high-speed ramjet.
