The article considers a modified scheme of the jet engine, which will allow enhancing its thermodynamic efficiency. The authors propose introducing a second circuit, where feeding, heating and expansion of heat-carrying agent helium, will be realized. Helium is being pumped to the annular channel of the external circuit under pressure. Helium is being heated due to the heat transfer from the hot gases of the main circuit of the jet engine through the nozzle wall. Thus, the extra engine thrust is being created. Basic thermodynamic parameters computing of both classical and modified schemes was performed with the ANSYS Fluent software. The values of the engines jet thrust and thermal efficiency were compared by the computational results, and efficiency of the proposed nozzle-cooling design was demonstrated.
