Conceptual foundations of orbital servicing for advanced automatic space vehicles

Abstract

Some results are discussed related to research of possibilities to implement an advanced technique intended to maintenance support for new-generation space vehicles by means of servicing immediately on their operational orbits. A concept is suggested to introduce servicing activity. Jobs are formulated for a servicing space infrastructure as well as requirements for servicing tools. A composition for the space system is determined.
